ChangeA Poem by KailaniA poem of change.
In the autumn, leaves turn gold and crimson
As crisp winds blow, they twirl below. All vibrant color unforgotten As radiantly dressed, the trees prepare for snow. When winter comes, trees' smooth bark is pale as bone, And leafles are its branches long As they stretch up towards the cold gray sky The thick snow upon their branches muffling their song. When spring arrrives in all her glory, The leaves unfurl from the branches, bright as day And lush grow the trees as flowers bloom along their boughs, Bringing the sweet end to springs stay. In summer still the bravest flowers linger, Their scent wreathing the still, hot air As sunlight streams through the branches heavy with leaves, And summer breaths farewell as leaves once again turn golden fair. © 2010 KailaniAuthor's Note
