Nightmares

Nightmares

A Poem by Kailani

The monsters, they chase you,
The demons consume you,
You are trapped in darkness,
Unable to move.

You open your mouth,
Trying to scream,
Your words, they are soundless,
Your terror unseen.

You hear them come closer,
You limbs, they unfreeze,
And you run away with
Eyes that can't see.

You stumble and fall,
You struggle to your feet,
And then you are falling,
Tumbling through air.

You hit the ground below,
Broken and bleeding,
The demons they reach you,
And the monsters cone too.

You wake up gasping,
Broke out in cold sweat,
You shudder and try to
Drive away the fear.

Because you know
That those demons are real,
They surround you all day
And all night.

One lives inside of you,
You can't get away.
The shadows surround you,
Your screams, they are silent,

Your terror unheard.

About
I enjoy writing, and I"ll admit that I am not the best writer out there, but I love slipping into the worlds I create when I write. My second favorite topic is reading (no surprise there, right?), and.. more..
