Do You Fly, or do You Fall?

Do You Fly, or do You Fall?

A Poem by Kailani

When you close your eyes
Against the golden sun,
Or watch the clouds float by,
What do you see?

Do you see yourself floating
On that silver-lined cloud?
Or do you fall into the storms
Of forgotten memories?

Do you see yourself gliding
Across the ocean of possibilities?
Or sinking to the dark, sandy
Sea floor of lost ambitions?

Do you see yourself swimming
To the surface with your prize?
Or do you keep sinking down
Into the dark abyss of crushed dreams?

Do you see yourself climbing
To the tops of every mountain?
Or do you dig your grave
Among all of your despised hopes?

Will you build your
Castle on a cloud?
Or will you build a dungeon
Upon thoughts of your demise?

I really love this. You expressed each side really well and I understand what this is all about. I loke the different locations?--i guess you want to call it.

About
I enjoy writing, and I"ll admit that I am not the best writer out there, but I love slipping into the worlds I create when I write. My second favorite topic is reading (no surprise there, right?), and.. more..
