April 30, 1943

 I read today about a sacrifice they used to do on May 1 to some creature they hoped would come kill their enemies. That's tomorrow. I really hope it's just a coincidence. Besides, they did this in Germany a long time ago. And it's not like Aunt Eunice and Uncle Lester have enemies. Or maybe they're the enemies. Maybe they've been fighting the people in the woods.

 Or maybe they're the people in the woods. Great. Now I really can't sleep.
