 It rained cats and dogs all day. Uncle Lester was surprised. He said it wasn't supposed to rain but I guess he read the signs wrong. Aunt Eunice said she was feeling bad too. She seemed fine yesterday but I guess that's how it goes. Healthy as a horse one day and glue the next.

 I keep looking at the necklace. Something about it just gets my imagination going. Maybe it's from aliens or a lost civilization! Maybe it's a key that unlocks treasure! I don't even know how I'll get to sleep because I can't stop thinking about it.

Yay mystery!
I like the main characters voice. I like that small details, like Uncle Lester and the creek, carry from one entry to the next. I like the size of the entries too. The size is realistic for a youngish? girl's journal and convinces the reader to keep reading.
