March 16, 1943

 Mom sent me to live with Uncle Lester and Aunt Eunice. They have a big farm and a nice house but they're a couple of kooks if you ask me. 

 Mom said it's all in account of Aunt Eunice being sick when she was younger and Uncle Lester being in a big wreck with his Chevy. Mom gave me this journal to keep me company while I'm here but I don't know if I'll like it.

 I can't wait to move back home. I've been here a whole day and I'm already going nuts. But I guess I'm stuck here until my dad gets back from the war and they don't need my mom to work anymore.
