Friendship Bond

Friendship Bond

A Poem by Kai Muhsik
"

I wrote this for the core six or original six of my group at school. We were talking about how all of us together was like a second family for us, so I wrote this. It means a lot to me, because my friends mean the world to me.

"

A Friendship Bond for Our Second Family

Every once in a while,
a group of friends will come along
that mean the world to you.
This goes out to them.
For all the things they have said,
and not said.
For every caring thought they had,
and for every loving word they said.
For all the things they've done for you
even if you don't know about them.
For every fight you've had with them,
and every time you forgave afterward.
For every little thing that has so much value to you;
and for every little thing that makes them such a great friend.

This is a thank you, and a promise to always be true and loyal

and never to break this ring of friendship, even as we go into high school, and college, and beyond.

This was written for the friendships made by the original six. Our second family.

The line "promise to always be true and loyal and never to break this ring of friendship, even as we go into high school, and college, and beyond." made me sad because this reminded me of my group of friends in high school and hate to admit after graduation I fell out of touch with some. It is well written and I can guarantee it will spark a memory to whoever reads it.
