One More

One More

A Poem by Channing S.

Baby I heard what you said
When you turned your back...
To me

And now I just wish that I could see
More clearly

Because everybody's gonna make a mistake some time
But why oh why weren't you in my mind
When we

When we stayed up late at night
I kiss and tell which makes us bite

Just give me one more chance
Give me one more fight

Give me one more night
Give me one more plight

A break up is never easy for both parties equally. Especially one that isn't clearly explained. I think that your poem clearly conveys the part of the 'breakee' and what you felt. Oh and how your heart will long for that "one more..." of everything, as though that last one would ever be enough. I liked your poem. Short and to the point, but doesn't lack any of the sadness that the subject requires. Great job!
