If I Ever Give You a MissA Poem by Naoemi HannaYour love caught me in surprise and tearsYou
appeared from the crowd and initiated a flight, Sudden
momentum almost got me stumbling into the headlight; You
pulled me across the street despite cars coming in full speed; Honking
and swearing at our reckless spree.
You
lead me by the hand so tight yet so comforting; Pulling
me across the crowd and forcing me to keep running. You
knew what is happening and what will happen, Forcing
me to trust you have control of the situation.
You
took the right turn in the immediate corner; Leaving
no space for me to hesitate or wonder; Little
did I expect to foresee in that narrow street, You
have hundreds of balloons tied along the conduit.
Your
little surprise caught me in tears, Forgetting
the senseless flight that occurs; I
was immediately drawn into the little made heaven, You
gleamed in pride for the successfully planned amazement.
Words
came and disappeared at my tongue, Only
air could enter and exit my lungs, My
brain wonders what makes you thought of this, And
you did not want to explain and instead pulled me in for a kiss.
Your
lips passionately savoring mine, Igniting
release of adrenaline and dopamine, My
fingers in your hairs forcing deeper kiss, I
could never imagine my life if I ever give you a miss. © 2014 Naoemi Hanna |
