The Craftsman

The Craftsman

A Poem by Kae Martyndale
"

"

Spots of blue
splotches of realism
scratches on the perfectly crafted
pieces of me

Little shards of glass
enter through the hole in my mind
that I allowed to remain
unfilled

Holes in the tapestry
of my being
lets the darkness seep
where insulation is lacking

"Fill them with plaster",
I say
Just make them go
Away

The damp draught is
Numbing through my patchwork quilt
And I still sit in the dark
Waiting

But I am the craftsman.

Wow, I really like this one. Especially the ending. That last line is definitely a great closer. This is very well written, nice job.
