Forgotten

Forgotten

A Poem by Kae Martyndale

Written October 2004

"

Swirling
as I race to find
the reason
why he plagues my mind

Rushing
time passes me by
yet I remain
unchanged

Experience
I hoped would give
a change, a chance
reason to live

But searching
still unable to see
the constant, yet inconsequential girl
I never cease to be

And he
who I thought I could forget
stings my heart

And leaves me constantly
Forgotten.

Such beauty and gentleness in your words. The questions are left open in your search of the answers needed. A excellent poem.

"And he

stings my heart
And leaves me constantly
Forgotten." What sad lines to end this sad but, beautiful piece. It is often difficult to let go when the pain is a continuing reminder.
