Storm

Storm

A Poem by Kae Martyndale
"

written in high school

"

I can still smile despite the rain.
I can still see despite the clouds.
I can still breathe despite the pain of the cold.
I can still walk despite the wind that pushes me backward.

For I know that the rain will eventually go away,
And that the sky will be clear, bright and blue,
The cold will become warm,
And my laboured steps will lighten.

And I know that while I walk,
I am walking towards the next storm,
But it too, will eventually go away.

A wonderful description of the "ups" and "downs" of life, and more to the point, one that shows an understanding of what this life is all about. I enjoyed reading it. Thank you for sharing.
