Taking Chances

Taking Chances

A Poem by Kae Martyndale

I don't ache

Without you

Like I thought I'd do

I don't miss

Your blue eyes

Upon me

So why

Did I wait

So long?

Why

Was I so

afraid

Of taking

Chances

Again?

Simply put a great write - that not only allows the reader to reflect on their own situations, but also holds a sense of pride that the author has got themselves this far - if you took so long to take chances, chances are you weren't ready to - but to be over that hill now is a powerful feeling - so jump in head first I say ;)

You put simply what so many have a hard time understanding, more a herder time expressing. Funny how we fear the things we face.

Great job!

PS: I really like your taste in music.

Sometimes, it takes more than courage to take chances, in hindsight, the "why" comes to us easier than the "why not" at the time. Life should be lived forwards and not backwards in my opinion. May your "why nots" be always in foresight . enjoyed reading.

Nicely written. Short , sweet and too the point. Life is too short not to take chances.
