Technicolor Dreams (of You and I)

Technicolor Dreams (of You and I)

A Poem by Kae Martyndale
"

Another old one. This is from 2005.

"

You
There is so much to cram
Into such a little word
Such exuberance and spark
A constant daze of confusion
A Technicolor blur
With flashing lights and clanging bells
Darting to and fro
Never quite able to be
Pegged down

I am
The slowly changing ocean tide
Baby steps with clenched fists
And eyes covered
Just clinging onto what was and always should be
Never knowing how to trust
And just

let
go
