Release

Release

A Poem by Kae Martyndale
"

Another old one. This was written in 2003.

"

Breathe...
Slowly...
Release all that is there
Get rid of all the hidden emotions
Collecting behind my eyes
The confusion
The anger
The pain
The disapointment
Take it all away
It does me no good

to feel

I'll close my eyes
And count to three
If you promise me
That all this mess
Will disappear
The wanting
The pleading
The missing you

here

I'm calm
I'm collected
But then again you re-appear
Forcing all my focus
Out the window
And playing games

with my head

In this moment
I would trade you

for a minute

of solace
