Lost The Crafted Phrase

Lost The Crafted Phrase

A Poem by Kae Martyndale

Somewhere I lost the passion
The desire to put pen to paper
Shaping words as if they were jello

Many years have passed
Since I was sparked with inspiration
To mold artwork through tongue alone

I miss the inspiration
The shaping and remaking
The resulting beauty of crafted phrase

Oh no! I think this is a secret fear of mine, to lose the desire to write. Sometimes I think I could do with a little less- I've gotten up out of a sound sleep to scribble something. However, I never want to lose the desire to write completely.

I think we all go through this sometimes, though. I can totally identify. That said, I think you did a wonderful job of illustrating the beauty of writing and of discussing the lack of a will to write. The readers who write can identify and the reader who doesn't can appreciate the problem. Kudos. You've a really nice piece here.
