AngelA Poem by K.N. Herzner
I still can't bring myself to admit that you're gone.
Zesty in the clouds you'll forever be, An angel cloaked in white and gold. A heart not meant to beat for my ears to hear, Knowing perfectly well you're at peace. Cherished you'll be forever, Honored in these words I speak, Regardless if we ever truly met. Innocence drenches you in God's arms, Silently you rest in His presence, Tonight I'll pray for the peace. Onward you'll soar through my mind and heart, Placing angel kisses on my soul. How I wish you were in my arms, Even though for just a little, Remembering what was never meant to be. Darling, I'll hold back my tears for you, As it is not your fault. Now I shall wait until my dying day; I will see you once more. Eternity is where we shall meet and stay forever, Lost and found to be united. May the stars reflect your smile, Your lullaby I'll sing. Sweet angel, Our song has just begun, Now fly high and smile forever.
