What If...

What If...

A Poem by K.F. Draven
"

What if... we didn't mess things up?

"

What if... The sky wasn't blue?

What if... The land was new again?
What if... People cared?

If... We cared, we would survive.
If... We tried, we would contrive.
If... We had guts, we would stick up.

Maybe... People will pick themselves up.
Maybe... People will slip on ice.
Maybe... We will solve our problems.

Hardly, We can sell a simple mop.
Hardly, We can tell the evil from the good.
Hardly, We can walk.

Not Really... If we can't find our feet.
Not Really... If we cling to money.
Not Really... If we give ourselves credit.

I hardly regret it...
I already have that pop.
I can already see the happenings.

Buildings fall,
Air depletes,
Water taints,
Bombs fall,

We have destroyed ourselves.
What if... we had another chance?

It is like... dark. Not usually what I write. But, enjoy. This whole thing reflects upon society and such.
