Maybe this time

Maybe this time

A Poem by Cat

After a few years

a few times

a few

habits

You’d think one could come accustomed to their surroundings.

I

Was never the kind to look for love in someone else

I had to make it

Create it

Mandate it

Anything as long as I did it on my own

I’ve learned through soul searching that

If you only ever know how to give

Maybe selfishness is the only thing lying in your intentions.

And maybe that doesn't mean anything

Or maybe it means everything

But to me it's nothing more than an example of how egocentric one can become

If you rely on habit to be some godly sign that things should never change

Then I think you need to rethink some of your habits.

It doesn’t always have to be this way

And maybe this time

Will be the last.
