Thoughts

A Poem by Kaylee
"

poem on how I feel about home

"
Scream my name
Grit your teeth
Spit your words right at me

I've grown cold to any hurt
Your words go right through me
Respect is gone
along with the rest of your life
My freedom starts from here

Beat me down
Grab my throat
Throw your fist right at me

I've become older
I'm now wiser
Than to listen to your "thoughts"
I won't shed a tear for you
My freedom starts from here

Kick me to the curb
Tell me to leave
That's what I've wanted
Don't you see?

I've grown cold to any hurt
You can not damage me any longer
My care for you is gone
along with everyone else
My freedom starts from here
