I'm okay.

I'm okay.

A Poem by Kaylee

I'm okay with the pain you left for me
I'm okay with the thought of loosing everything
I sit here tonight
With my broken dreams
The ones you took away from me
I don't feel free

I'm okay tonight,
However I've smoked enough for three
I'm okay tonight
However the liquor is getting to me

You took me for granted
And I told you I'm sorry
Even though it wasn't me
It was never me
I'll never be free

This hold you have on me
This chain around my heart has rusted shut
The more I tug the more I cut

I'm okay tonight,
However I've smoked enough for three
I'm okay tonight
However the liquor is getting to me

I'm okay with the lies you said to me
I'm okay with my never ending nightmare
I sit here tonight
with my head on my knees
The things you took away from me
I don't feel free

:) :) awesome
I love this, the classic angst and solidarity of the pain is immense. The sternness of the writing really accentuates the pain and frustration of not feeling free. "I'm okay" really seems so sternly a hiding-from the aid of others, but also seems to be a crying out for aid - but therein lies the uncertainty of it all. The bipolarity and agitation, the frustration of not knowing what is happening within your own head, really digs it into to me as I read, that the chaos that inspired this is very real. Great work!
