your look is scorn darling

remember we are all walking

our own way home

your touch is cold sweetie

stop, look around

warm your heart against the sun

your thoughts are dark lovey one

A prison in which you keep yourself

yet - you have the key

you feel used my cherished

yet the moments were pure

walk free from yourself gorgeous one

this is really uplifting...
I swallowed that key some years back...maybe I should spit it back up....and liberate myself.
Scorn doesn't do anybody any good.
this poem reminds me of a great line from an Anne Sexton poem...
"empty my breath from its bad prison"---
really strong work, KWP.
