Love Me Not

Love Me Not

A Poem by KWP

observation of seconds, minutes,

hours clicking by, I disentangle

days greet me now with a welcome

seeing, feeling, bathing through each

I become part of them

weeks, months, years spent

thinking only of what may have been

like watching the ocean waves

break in, but never once immersing

precious moments lost

never to be retrieved again

participation with seconds minutes hours, has

lead to days, galavanting in life

in these moments, I no longer lose thought

Immersion - bobbing, swimming, surfing, crashing with every break

the oceans pulse, my pulse

salty water burning eyes

laughter spills

every direction

I do not dare

dwindle away one more petal of

love me nots

participation here now

is all there is

Life is in the living and the rest is death and absence of being. Let us enjoy what we can because we can. Every day, a blessing. I enjoyed the read.

Beautifully written. I found my lost piece of soul in your poem. I'd love to see your other works. Good luck!

Well done. Well written.

Some of your work lacks focus, this one is well executed from top to bottom.

We should make out later.

All we can do is live in the now and enjoy every part of it. The last stanza really pulls the poem together!

It is so true how each minute spent with loves should be well spent! Life is way too short; we never know when their time or our time to die may happen! Well penned!

We must appreciate every moment with a loved one, even the little ones for there may come a time when memories of them aremay be all we got to keep us company.

Can only add what I feel that - the emotions here are both magical and realistic: . glorious wonder wed to regretful acceptance. Seems sadness has absorbed the laughter shared, that the two are meant to remain a contented finale? Many thanks, you never fail to share hints of how and why . ..
