the final truth

the final truth

A Poem by KWP

toxicity dissipates
when love is the ruler
you, my friend are a dangerous beast

calling on your god
who must shake his head in shame
when you attempt to destroy

your love is false
shining bright your only aim

you missed the point
those who shine bright
do not need to shine bright
they are the bright

those who know love
do not need love
they are love

you missed the point
you wicked wench
you missed the point

my only hope for your
blackened soul is
….. you can find a straight path
back to LOVE

I hope you find it soon
I do, I do
for you, I do
for love is the real place of God
and that place
welcomes all

We are what we are. Too many of us try so hard to be something they aren't that they bury the thing that they are. It's hard to be yourself all the time and sometimes it does lead to ruin but at least you get the chance to go out fighting, burning down in your own way. Fake people disgust me... and that's going to be 90% of everyone you meet. Obviously, I have no friends. hahaha

This is a good poem I thinks.

I really like it, have you read the gospel of Thomas? if not google it some time. I love the ideas I think though more than the language. I don't normally care for repetitions but I also can't really say I would change anything. all the best and I hope you are doing well.

' those who know love .. .. do not need love ... they are love '

Such an extraordinary truth. But, surely in knowing and being wrapped in those words, all else follows? Plus, and forgive me perhaps for adding this.. surely living with those words, we forgive those that cannot, will not, might never alter. Sharing the real, the true is the greatest gift.. Perhaps.

Yet another fine poem from you, friend.. you never miss, do you!

I believe these words are profound and very true. I know we good folks should hold out hope that one so wicked as he might return to a straight path, stop putting himself first, and serve the people. (ALL the people, not just his base) That said, it looks like that tiger will never change it's stripes. My fear is that he will burn down the entire world in order to save his own sorry hide. God help us all--I cannot breathe easy until he is gone from power.

Thanks for stopping by Samuel ... even from Australia I feel how damaging this person is.

Another poem where I'm reading in a bifurcated way. One part of me wants to say "YEAH! You GO woman!" Your points are so strongly & clearly stated, you infuse the reader with a sense of righteous indignation. But the other part of my mind is rejecting this message becuz it's stated in a tone & passion that is the antithesis of the kind of "LOVE" which the narrator demands from the "other" in this poem. I don't think this is a downfall of the poem. I love your msg. It's so authentic. Humans do this all the time. We set standards for others that we do not even realize we are not living up to ourselves. Mostly, tho, I just loved how passionately you grind out your very sharp points (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

yes, "those who know love/do not need love/ they are love"
and it matters to them...only the giving part...not what they can get from it.
i had a certain person in mind reading this...and that part of my heart that forgives...does hope she will find it in the end.
made me think of a Cat Stevens' song...with his line "you missed the point, you missed the point, you really missed the point"
she was about what she could get from it, not what she could give to it.

love this piece....identify with it....as i usually do with all your writing...
