Be Bop!

Inspired by Merton & Dave

lose yourself 

like a ballerina 

spinning atop a pin prick 

allowing the natural flow to win 

find yourself 

like the sun through the parting clouds 

on a late in season 

monsoon day 

know yourself 

for there ain’t one other soul 

who cares enough about you 

except you 

to know you 

as much as you can - or do

know yourself 

inside out

outside in 

like a ballon being blown 

with the breath (of life) 

only to be deflated to start over again 

know yourself 

it’s liberating! 

especially if you are the balloon that squeals upon deflation 

even better if you are the balloon that bobs 

this way and that when let go 

know yourself even when you are a spent balloon, deflated to a crash landing 

• plop right on the floor!

Get up so  you can …

be yourself 

you are beautiful 

you are unique 

you are the sperm that won the race 

cherish that 

grab the trophy 

you - yourself are perfect 

godammit - yes you are

when all is said and done

BE!
