Gypsy Can’t Stay

Gypsy Can’t Stay

A Poem by KWP

how did you do it?

grasp my soul?

were you even aware?

a look, a gesture, a notion

you dragged me in

allow me to touch you without touching

let me reach deep within your heart

can I help to ease the pain of life?

my heart is open for you

it pours in contentment

when next to you

let me in

but don’t find me a home

I shan’t stay long

I’m transient

but for now

I wish to sit with you for as long as it takes

to penetrate your soul

don’t allow it though

just take it as a message

good or bad,

it’s all experience

‘she was here once

baring her soul -

I took what I needed from her

- because that’s what we do -

then she moved on’

open heart

gyspy soul

life is transient

I cannot stay

be okay in knowing

this is how it was meant to be

Very nice use of words dear friend.

I like the above lines. Perfect. I have a Gypsy soul. Hard to stay in one place. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
