World ...

World ...

A Poem by KWP

World … hold on.

I ask you this,

on behalf of humanity,

please, hold on.

We think we are smart,

top of the food chain and all,

but really we know not even

a grain of sands worth of knowledge

of -all there is to know.

World … please hold on.

We need time to catch up

wake up

realise

the mistakes we have made.

We need to learn how to let go

our ego

- to learn and grow.

We have forgotten to remember love,

- always, remember love.

World … please hold on .

You spin exponentially,

leaving us in a whirlwind of

confusion, of

which road to take.

It is easy, you say,

the complications are just ego -

so many ride the entire wave of life

atop their ego.

It’s the individual thinking,

the I, me, self

we think we are seperate from you world.

The ancients know.

The aboriginals know.

The Indian’s know.

The natives know.

Everybody knows

deep,

deep within.

But this charade we call our own lives,

has led us to forget.

World … please help us to remember,

we can -

we can catch up with you world -

Please … hold on.

But the world continues it's spin and carelessly does nothing but push those towards it's own direction. So how shall we continue on a treadmill that only goes one direction?

Your mind is so beautiful. What an amazing point of view
We are led by foolish leaders. Little concern for people.
"The ancients know.
The aboriginals know.
The Indian’s know.
The natives know.

Everybody knows
deep,
deep within. "
The above lines are true. I was in the military. I went to meetings. Soldiers and human life. Meaningless to the Generals. We need to lead with concern, kindness and love. Powerful words shared dear friend. You made me think tonight.

it just keeps on spinning eh!? the love of money...the root of all evil :( ... not money, mind you, ... but the love of it ... and then there are the 7 Cardinal Sins ... corrupting from within :(((((((
i sure like the shine of hope in your lament ... we can love ... we can be charitable and unafraid ... yes we can!

yes, the native Americans knew...they knew how to get along with the land...they knew to appreciate what we have...but as self-possessed egos, our generation has totally lost touch with what's important.
and love is the answer....as Tommy James sang in "Crystal Blue Persuasion"---but we have forgotten how to sing of that.

i like the poem the world here is considered to be a metaphor it can be interpreted in many ways for me it is like catching with the passing of time, how sometimes we forget what is most important or how to cherish someone because there is no time

Yess. It's going much too fast for me! Great poem about the runaway pace this crazy world is in. If we could just slow down long enough to even catch our breath..
