Ode To Dodger

Ode To Dodger

A Poem by KWP
"

NaPoWriMo #10 April is Poetry Month - I write a poem each day - This one is for Dodger

"

There was once a naughty boy named Dodger,

went incognito and called himself Roger.

No-one told him he was a Cocker Spaniel

When he plodded along in disguise as Dr Daniel.

Never mentioned, he was a flea bag

As he dressed up in his Friday night drag

Nobody told him he was a hound

when wearing a tutu whilst running around.

Dodger wasn’t confused

not even abused

a mere fantasy of being a human turned real,

My pup and my man,

he has taken my hand

it’s unconditional love - that’s the deal.

Just wish they had our life span....
This is sweet.
I bet the pup gets the 'lion's share' of the bed when he wants...
Good luck with the poem-a-day K.

Pets are precious. Unless your a fat red shirted a*****e named Ron... then you'd get charged for animal abuse in Kentucky on public record.
