Hitch Hiker with Intention

Hitch Hiker with Intention

A Poem by KWP
"

... oh just allowing my mind right of passage ...

"

I open my heart

to the distant whispers of love that

hitch hike through eternity

seeking a momentary perch

with souls whom welcome light

the caress of the whispers

lead me into abandon

my interior, exterior,

flesh, thought, moments, heartbeats,

feeling, emotion and ideas - dishevel

caressing the me

it’s ok to fade

there’s no need to be

the whispers clasp my hand

I drift,

I crumble, come apart, disband

I am carried along in the

winds of time

I atomise

I disunite

to reunite

with whence I came

I am a hitch hiker and I  offer

the sweetest whispers of love …..

Very nice piece and I enjoyed it. Between the title and the words I see a young woman hopping from ride to ride in love looking for the right one.

O.K. to fade...no need to be????? With God all things are possible and all have a purpose. It is up to us to find it. Valentine

I come away with a sense of how impermanent we are - the constant exchange of mass and energy - some arriving others departing. But there is a permanence to love which expresses itself as it catches a ride with us. That's just me - you had images running through my head.
Thank you for this. Causes me to stop and ponder.

"perch" always makes me think of birds
and i like the idea of them coming back as hitchhikers.
do with that what you will.

i used to have this reckless abandon...offering love a ride, knowing it was probably temporary....some rode longer than others...but in the end...here i am, driving alone...on a highway of freedom....not that i wouldn't pick up just one more.
