truth 

it’s there, beneath 

this mess, we made, right here 

untangle, unravel, undo the done 

for truth

had to look up cinquain so thank you for my new form education .. you held pretty tight to the rigid interpretation .. is this from your class?
leave it to you to handle the truth!! from its simplicity through human complexity and having won the journey ... arriving at the departure :)) great stuff .. reading your poetry this morning is really setting me on a very good note and direction :)

it is not the course I am filling my mind with at the moment - that one is a Creative Writing course (which I am loving!!!)

The course above is brilliant in its own way too - I learnt so much - in fact I could do it again so it all sinks in further. I know the truth right - I should have written about something more imageful - but truth just shot at me out of nowhere ;) funny that XX

Hi Elizabeth, I'm not good at poem styles, did'nt learn when I should have but this style in very good and in your hands a beautiful poem so well done ( I just got to grips with stanza's LOL) but as a famous art critic once said 'I know what I like' can't remember his name........so what happened to you on facebook? American Cinquain
The modern form, known as American Cinquain[1][2] inspired by Japanese haiku and tanka,[3][4] akin in spirit to that of the Imagists.[5] In her 1915 collection titled Verse, published one year after her death, Adelaide Crapsey included 28 cinquains.[6] Crapsey's American Cinquain form developed in two stages. The first, fundamental form is a stanza of five lines of accentual verse, in which the lines comprise, in order, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 1 stresses.
