August Postcard Poetry Fest 2015A Poem by KWPMy third year as a participant to write 'FREEVERSE' a poem a day on the back of a postcard to fellow participants the world over .. such a great way to allow oneself to open up the creativity and flow1st August like a yo-yo i find myself bobbing in and out of your existence up, down round the world I spin my spin for you unfortunately you gave up the yo-yo craze you left me idle cast out forgotten as another craze rolled in 2nd August Rules they say … why must I learn the rules ? It is plain as day the so called caretakers of this reality you know, the ones who created the rules stuffed up made boo boos made a complete utter disaster of the place our home don’t you think it’s time we forgot those rules time to start afresh? 3rd August the whispers have always been there asking me to stay true echos in mind running against the current crossing societies imposed boundaries jumping into the heartfelt darkness of the unknown known the whispers in my soul do not care for banality whispers ache right down deep into my bones to live a life this life only asking of one task to stay true to me tell me do you too hear the whispers? 4th August it’s a helluva task to stay true to self with demands being placed on us from here, there and let’s face it, everywhere we must endure the tone and only true task staying true to self that is for staying true will nourish the soul keep us ALIVE and VIBRANT in this world that so easily sucks the life right out stay true yes, yes will do 5th August Forever I have known you Forever Can you feel it? Your breath caresses my every essence you know how to inhale me You touch lingers along my heart you know how to feel me Your words are spoken not for the first time we always understood Your kiss envelops what is my soul as I encapsulate our everywhen It is not new Surprised I am not You are me I am you completing naturally each others eternity My heart open for I know you and have known you forever 6th August today i ventured down to Sydney Harbour looking at the bridge enjoying lunch with my new Korean friend who speaks more broken english than my non-existent Korean we talked about how we are lazy she eats prawn tails and watermelon seeds I don’t get my nails done ever our cultures different but we are the same strong of heart lit by life open to new experiences and people 7th August KIVA in a poem an organisation empowering those in third world countries asking the world to help with loans so they can set up a business and get on their feet feed their family make life a little less hard each time a loan of twenty five dollars is paid back I loan it to another person in another country a little slice of hope costing me nothing but love 8th August shatter and I shall collect the pieces break and I shall find the glue fall and I shall pick you up for my eternity is you cry and I shall wipe your tears laugh, I’ll laugh along live with me in all the morrows together let’s write life’s song 9th August quietude of the mind the desired destination - - - ahhhhh, but not today enraged thought choleric mind examination perhaps of why oh why the racist human can readily purchase a voice in this day right now in this future once the past the pot’s been simmering without reaching boiling point for a while now we ALL could have shared a nice meal as a family damn shame some fool turned up the heat everything we worked toward is ruined 10th August Conversation with my Korean Friend you eat the prawn tails?
yes, yes I do is that a cultural thing? oh no I am just lazy I eat grapefruit and watermelon seeds too 11th August does it hurt to strain your eyes? for surely you are blind to this reality the time and space all of us share together or is it that you are just plain rude understanding and compassion you lack no, no, no it is not your fault I don’t blame you there are many at fault those who have shaped you into the racist human you have become one last question have you ever asked yourself why? 12th August perplexed is a word to describe my current view of the planet evolution will continue to unfold and yet, with all out knowledge we don’t seem to be making any of it any easier can we please hit rewind go back a millennia take a different path surely the fate of humans was never meant to mean we become the disease the universe ultimately kills off because we take to much without allowing the simple gift of love and flow 13th August black crow upon my fence are you looking for some worms? black crow upon my grass are you looking for some twigs? black crow sitting in my tree are you making a nest? black crow in my back garden the wrong house you have chosen black crow meet my Dodger he is a fierce and dangerous breed black crow he’s a Cockerspaniel right now he thinks you are stealing his feed black crow if I were you I’d hot-tail it right outta here black crow I am opening the door fly away, fly away Dodger will soon be near 14th August
the act of driving out that is - expulsion could the universe be playing it’s hand in the expulsion of the human race for all of the intelligence we claim to have we don’t seem to have learnt a helluva lot about the number one universal law the state of being united or combined into one as of the parts of a whole that is - unity 15th August laughing in space does everything laugh in space? surely when the infinities of the universe are examined the only reaction one must have is to laugh in space the absurd random free flowing flourishing moments in this reality can cause one to GASP …. Breathe …. Laugh and laugh again at the absurdity of it all hahahahaha hahaha …….. 16th August right now yes yes it ‘s here breathe it beauty in all it’s forms caressing every movement embrace for all on offer yes, yes right now it’s here take it - it’s yours LIFE
17th August feather touches to the universe deep inhalation to the soul a taste of the earthen wonders hear a humming of life’s lullaby graceful vision of natural surrounds caress the reality warming the now 18th August the revelations whisper in the autumn skies dance along the breeze askance for my ear to hear the magic is far yet near we see only what we choose to see the revelations crying without a voice the mysteries they will unfold once we give them all a voice 19th August winter skies stars so bright crisp is the air chilled is tonight this small occasion calls for cracking open the 50 year old bottle of Scotch Whiskey for if it is not the small moment we can learn to cherish however will we ever grasp the large? cheers ! 20th August ice you have given me ice!
