Tapestry of Self

Tapestry of Self

A Poem by KWP

Take my hand.
Together we shall
take the tiniest of steps
into the path of the everywhen.
Yes, along the way we shall stop,
talk, discuss, enjoy, laugh, dance and…
inhale the moments that don't matter and
yet can add to the tapestry of self. We can
feel the universe sing itself a lullaby
in the stitchings of our hearts.
 We will embrace under
stars long burnt out.
 We must share
 our offerings
 of bliss
under
 the
 all

simply amazing KWP. I haven't heard or read much of lullabies but this one is the best till now for me. :) God bless dear. Your child is or will be lucky to have you.

I see the concrete shape as a drip of a liquid of life with much viscosity (I imagined spermatozoa)
I loved that the quilt encompasses the self and the self encapsulates the quilt. Very deep.
The ending seemed resigned like 'here we go again' - with the use of 'must' - as if a chore - not an opportunity, which would read 'we get to start again'.

This part -
"We can
feel the universe sing itself a lullaby
in the stitchings of our hearts." - amazing KwP. The first thing I thought of was - 'hey the background noise of the Universe - a 'static' lullaby - WOW!'
Class writing my friend.
