Stuck in A Void

Stuck in A Void

A Poem by KWP
"

.... oh that ache .... yeah you know the one :)

"

an ache

a void

an empty space

a crevasse

drawing one near

it comes

it goes

yet always there

alludes to make

life clear

we are born

as true

potential

we are born

as an expression

we are born

to be, just be, you see

yet we must live to

learn the lesson

fulfilment

is it what we search

as we scurry though each day?

money, possessions

or career

won’t take this ache away

a deeper sense

captured defence

attack

combat

the empty space

we drift it’s true

yes me, yes you

seeking

answers

we did misplace

Your fluent upon words's very good. You write with such a great flow.. Always enjoyed it. Yes, I believe, even the whole world's stuck in.. into something.. or somewhere; trapped inside the closet of hearts / combats for loves from where it only finds "Aches". Yes, An ache's all time fav. of heart.. so, I think, you did a great joy to get down to this write; bled in deepen words. Well written!

yep! thanks to your poem KWP I did one just now. Thank you lol for inspiring me lol:):)
yes ... reminds me of a couple things:
the story of the scientists scaling the impossible cliffs of knowledge only to arrive at the top where Holy people have been all the time
and:
" Every person born has knowledge of God because God has put that knowledge in all people." from Romans 1 (18-25)
love the pic .. gotta be a risk taker on such a journey ..i find calming within your insightful meditating poem .. always a joy and blessing to be challenged by your work!

Oh my friend, an emptiness inside of us that will not get quenched as easily indeed.
If I may leave you with a quote I was reminded of Blaze Pascal: There is a God shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God, the Creator, made known through Jesus.- Happy Easter weekend!!

Hey Chick - yes nice quite - resonates well with my thoughts - Love to Ya XX
on one hand i see two people who love each other but just can't seem to make it work...there is that ache of loneliness....two hearts aching, breaking.

but i also saw emily dickinson in this piece....her solitude...her reclusiveness, but the yearn to have love within the crevasses of her life in her father's house.

she tried to reason it out, and that life worked for the poet in her...but love was only in her imagination.

such depth to your poetry...there are angles...
