ecstatic sadness

peaceful madness

life’s premature

we must endure

chilling heat 

frosted sun

bagful emotion

forgetting fun

losing self 

blanketing thought 

at what cost 

is happiness bought?

questioning life 

all ends in strife 

moment now 

      - please show me how

calmness naught

readily sought 

a meditative thought 

can it be taught?

looking within

releasing sin 

time to win 

time to begin

past evaporates

no pearly gates

time it waits 

for no mans fates

moment here

no need to fear

the moment here

for you my dear 

learning to live 

with empty mind

nourished soul 

outstretched in kind
