Time they say does not exist,
Yet are we not our own allegory to defend,
The dancing rhythms and soulful energy,
Flowing through eternity with no end.
Yesterday I bathed,
Naked in the stream.
As I floated unattached,
I began to understand my dream.
The comings and the goings,
Milestones in one’s life,
Meld together to teach us,
What was previously verified.
If the universe is within us,
And we too are within the universe,
All that there is to know,
Was gifted to us at birth.
We have it there hiding away,
Seemingly out of reach.
Sent to earth, suffering here,
In the hope the universe will teach.
Each day trying to remember,
What our purpose be.
Yet not happy to relinquish,
We are only asked to see.
For life is ever flowing,
From this form the new,
Offering many levels of consciousness,
Comprehend a different view.
We humans need to measure,
The how, the when, the why
Just to live, that’s why we are here,
Connected is our life.
One big organism,
With a heart that beats as one.
We are mere blips within the beast,
Yet from acceptance we do run.
Time it is immortal,
Yet we don’t comprehend,
In our passing from this form,
We shall be recycled time and again.
Protruding from a little bottom burp,
Returning to where we belong,
Like a beautiful spring flower,
We continue to sing our own unique song.
‘You will never step into the same river twice.’
Words from Heraclitus,
Once you decide to stop the search,
Your true being shall be there to meet us.
Rousing from the stream still naked
My body wrinkled from head to toe
Time in the water did this
What is time ……. I still don’t know
