Connecting in the middle
True peace we find at last

Bubbling through the infinite
Thoughts yours and mine alone
Sharing space and time my love
New reality our destined home

Seventeen hours that divide us
Keeping the 'us' from each other
Yes distance melts in time and space
This time is for us my lover

Separation of the flesh
Hours pass us by
Seventeen lots of sixty minutes
Our time to laugh, to cry

Seventeen hours is 'our' lifetime'
We mustn't ask for a second more
Allotted by the universe
Dancing upon earth's front door

Deep set in the bones within the moment
Let's together sink within the abyss
Take my hand seventeen hour man
Then each other we shall never miss

Oh the distance can sometimes make the heart grow fonder. Just depends though. It can be extremely tough and sometimes a little stressing but we get through it and one day, we'd be the ones we love - I really loved this one!

i am twelve hours away from my girlfriend...long distance relationships can be hard, but there are ways to maintain the closeness...like 10pm phone calls every night...
related to this...and really like how you rhyme so naturally....i am not a big fan of rhyme, unless it sounds something like this...you do it so well. smoooooth.

Rhyming to me in poetry seems more natural. I written a few poems without rhymes, I just can never really get my head around making the words sing ... perhaps you could read one or two and help me out a bit ...
