Please don't cry poor

Please don't cry poor

A Poem by KWP
"

ask yourself why you write a poem .....

"

this is what i see

this is what I hear

‘life is so hard

i am so full of fear

life treats me bad

blame does not belong to me

let me cry poor

in the writers cafe for sympathy’

oh god golly gosh

this is not your diary

life is not easy

and yes I am fiery

it sickens me so

when everyone does whine

you have food on your plate

be thankful you swine

there are others less fortunate

all round the earth

others who find beauty

and shine through with their mirth

they stand strong and resilient

asking for naught

but you - you keep crying

caught up in your thought

let that s**t go

learn inner strength

i don’t want to read words of whining

not at any length

its your life you know

yes I say you

make sure the words that your offer

reflect you right through

shed light in the world

and follow you light will

happiness is waiting

for you to grab still

its there around the corner

awaiting your call

so come on don't winge

on this site anymore !

with love of course !!

i don't think it is a cold heart...sometimes people wallow in self-pity and drama and don't even try to help themselves get out of the doldrums...although i think poetry is a good release for the pain...after awhile we certainly do have to "let the s**t go!"

I agree with your thoughts. Somethings need to be forgotten and left behind. Some scars are hard to lose. Death, rape, abuse and depression. I was born with a cold heart. I watched people die at four years old. Easy for cold in heart to move on. Even I learn sadness and regret. I was Honor Guard at good friends funerals. There is a different from whining and teaching. Sometime we can learn from the sadness and heartache of another. I agree love and kindness is the way. Also mourning and releasing sadness can help. Even only in private journal. Thank you for writing about my favorite topic. Writing.

AMEN to that… sad part is that many are adults… why can't people just appreciate what they have instead of focusing on what they don't…. some of the poorest people come home happiest at the end of the day. As I stated once "If you hear the sound of your heart breaking ay least you can still feel it beating."
