Humanity

A Poem by KWP
"

A poem inspired by another WC poet... :)

"

Humanity

I love you so

I discover you in

my reflections

All around

conditioned souls

patience awaits in

life's directions

If I could take you

Humanity -

hold you long

into the night

We'd watch the lessons

to be learnt,

witness dawning

of new light

Humanity if I could

rock you so

learning what it means

to forgive

I 'd sing forgiveness in

a lullaby

within the chorus

learn to live

Humanity

You beat the drum

the rhythm holds

promise to discover

Empathy lost and

new love found

to make life itself

our lover

A wonderful poem, so well written. I love the entire poem but the last two verses are my favorite:
Humanity

You beat the drum
within the rhythm
I promise to discover

Empathy lost and
new love found
to make life itself
our lover

So very well said..

:) Julie

Sing it baby....love this one. Your reflected humanity is commendable, you put a luverly twist to this one...make me your lover indeed. Does this require getting naked too? Just saying Betty. ;-) Awesome read!

Such a delightful poem with full os uplifting verses… you nailed that ending with wise force… I just love that ending. Sometimes it seems humanity is on life support, that is why those of us who believe can not give in or it humanity will flatline and it will be hell on Earth.

In the words of Garth Brooks in the song "The Change", "As long as one heart still holds on then hope is never really gone"
