Acknowledge the Fall

a poem about getting up again

Slipping and falling you drop off the path

Hold your head high and remember to laugh

What to do though, when disappointing your being?

Try, try again for it is only you that you're fleeing

Get back up, acknowledge the fall

Examine the lessons, understand the call

Question exactly where it all went wrong 

Perhaps the right tune, but not the same song

Don't bang your head hard asking why this again

You have been here before, so why you back then?

It will keep coming back - from the universe

Until you grasp the lesson you still have not learnt

Don't chastise yourself, all is well, all is fine

It is when you are down you learn how to refine

Refine your own soul, your essence to bare

Cut back to the goodness, you knew it was there

Stumble and fall, land flat on your face

Lying bare to the earth ain't such a bad place

Turn over face up, look toward the sky 

Remind yourself you are only dust floating by

Your time in this form, it is quick it is fast

Take heed of your lessons, in this form you won't last

Learn and progress, find a new higher state

Knowing yourself allows navigation of fate

Enjoy what you learn, never mind rocky road

Don't carry your baggage, it will lighten the load

Look back over your shoulder, smile at life past

Thank yourself for the lessons, for it was you that did ask

Life will keep on flowing, from now to the new

Constantly changing, even  you, even you

Learn it now, cherish the flow 

It will soon guide you to home, where you know

Aw, beautiful Elizabeth! Your message is the same in all of your inspirational writings- to slow down, contemplate, allow sadness in, feel it to the maximum withouy any shame and accept it will always be there! This doesn't mean there should be no room for happiness! Having this bittersweet elucidation of events and emotions we call "life", we should always see the good no matter what, even if we see the bad too xx there's always room for learning, refreshing and celebrating xx

Hey there gorgeous gal ... You made my morning ... I guess when you live, you really live and you look at the world with the eyes of a child then everything is always fresh and new. It is when you allow yourself the experiences and know that a life with oy happiness will not teach you about the depth of knowledge within sadness then you are able to see beauty everywhere. You stop, you are mesmerized by the sunrises and water left on the flowers after it rains, you notice the sweet smell of Jasmine before sunrise and you often greet the first star in the early eve. When you live. Really live, with acceptance of all and knowing but you are just passing through a moment ... Then you start your journey to peace ....

Well ... That is my experience so far ...

That was what my short experience taught me or what I learned through my contemplation, don't know which one to go for xx and I felt I must share it with a soul like yours xx
It's great how someone you don't know, can still connect to your "mind", and explore your beliefs, ideas while people who may be more reachable to you, don't!

kindred spirits attract one another ... they call out and say 'hey here I am come play' happens quick and out of nowhere and bam you have a connection .. you are a deep thinker ... just like me .. alwaya tossing and turning this and that over in your head ... it's a great way to live ... i think every person in your life is there for a reason, weather it be to teach us patience, compassion, empathy, love, truths you know all of it ... the good is always there ... you just need to know how to see it ... sometimes with world events unfolding it gets confusing, but it is always there ... when I was walking my dog this morning i was thinking about you ... I was thinking that I would love to have a conversation with you when you are my age ... see how your contemplation has fared and see which paths it has led you along ...

oh yeah ... life in the metaphysical is more powerful than we simple humans give it credit ....

Wonderful use of AABB and really a great observation of how life can throw you around but the idea of staying strong and learning. I really enjoyed this one and feel you nailed a lot of the things I feel most of the time and also the mentality that more people in this world should have to get through hard times.
