Did you ever stop and wonder...

just a wee ditty pondering teeneee aspects of life...

Have you ever stopped to wonder,
Just how far you would have to run.
If you jumped upon a sunbeam,
Then headed for the sun.

Did you ever give much thought,
To rolling down that hill,
You know the one that Jack climbed,
Fetching water with young Jill.

Did you ever stop and ponder,
Why penguins don't have flight?
How are they to escape,
The Polar Bears at night?

And if you were a lady beetle,
Flying through the trees.
Would you prefer those colors,
To that of a bumble bee?

If you were a truth seeker
Would you bare a warriors heart?
To fight for ultimate goodness,
Right from the very start.

What if your lived your life
As an anonymous tree?
Big, small, old or tall,
Which would you prefer to be?

Can you even imagine
Travelling as a cloud,
Replenishing earth's cycle,
Round and round and round.

Did you ever stop to think,
Just where your rubbish goes?
Not giving it a second thought...
Perhaps it's time to know.

Can you imagine for an instant,
A quick life as a bubble,
Trying to just float away,
You bump and your'e in trouble.

Did you ever stop to think,
Is there some small thing you can change?
Just to see it out in the world,
More love in a rearrange.

Can you even bare to think,
If we had not invented fun,
We would all be a bunch of sad sacks,
All gloomy and all glum.

To me the cream upon the cake,
Is the fact that we invented money.
How bout I give you three loaves of bread,
In return for love and honey.

It is a funny little world,
We funny humans have created.
Remember it is with our thoughts,
That these connections are all related.

I only ask if you choose to think,
Ask if your intentions are real good,
Then all of us can start to feel -
Love the way we ought and should

To your title's question, I say yes. When the voices of busyness are left behind and permission granted to just be. The things, feelings and enticing nuances are what pull our hearts. Questions are asked here of whimsical nature but they also point to doing good, helping this world and one another. I liked your stanza about the lady beetle. Does she care about her colors and want a change? This points to being content and thankful working with what we have. I like that! Beautiful. The part about the three loaves of bread.....

Simple words, presenting us with many things to wonder about. I have a grand daughter arriving this week for a visit, she is 6 1/2, I think I may show her this one, see what her imagination comes up with.

One little point, unless it is intentional:

Can you even bare to think, do you mean to use "bear"?
