Festival Time

Festival Time

an ode to the Edinburgh Fringe

Festival Time

Festival time is here again
For some a joy, some a drain
For me a joy, I have to say
All crazy acts on display

The Royal Mile
 makes me smile
tourists in macs
leaflets in stacks

Crowds gather round
Acts for a pound
Street performers preen
Refuse to be unseen

Smells of the food
The banter, the mood
In sunshine or rain
they always remain

Silent discoers dance
Thru the streets prance
bands perform on stage
folk rock of all age

Saw a blinding play
a one-woman act, I say
Saw The Chrvches sing
They are just my thing

Lots more to see
my family and me
Before it all ends
made some new friends

I can completely understand this because I've been in this situations tons of times. It brings back nice memories. I like how I can see everything in my head because you explained it so clearly.
