Broken bones

Broken bones

An ode to my broken up foot

BROKEN BONES

House for sale, quick clean and tidy
Got some viewers, arriving Friday
Wash the curtains, change the sheets
Do it to music, with fast beats
All's going well, we're on fire
Then something happened, so dam dire

Washed the carpets, then the stairs
As I came down, in my flairs
Went over, sickly on my lower leg
"Call an ambulance" I did beg
2 an half hours later one did show
Off to hospital we did go

Came home in a cast
Sympathy did not last
Fam got sick of my orders fast
A Mother's pain can never last
Got a seat at the sink
To do the dishes, pour a drink

Folded the clothes in the ironing pile
Before I can even walk a mile
Back doing all the things I did
Wish I was a little kid
A house won't clean itself no way
So broken bones just go away

**************
