So I love Deacon Blue

All the songs that they do

Like Queen of the New Year

Chocolate girl, Loves great fear

Ricky Ross and Lorraine, his wife

Music is there love of life

Two voices that give good clout

In the 80s, Twist and Shout

My favourite though is Swaying Arms

that song, to me has such sweet charms

There's a line that says

 we once passed as strangers

long before the love we ever knew

and that's what happened

between me and you

So you see how this song

touches my soul

and so it is my only goal

to write an ode to a great band

and write your name in silver sand

one day I was singing that very song

and who should come along

I was singing "one day I can see us walking"

and you were talking

and you said "look who's over the road"

I could not believe my eyes

It was such a sweet surprise

It was Ricky and Lorraine holding hands

from the 80s, one of the best bands

Cheers Phil, this was true, we were walking up the Royal Mile in Edinburgh and there they were - I stalked them for ages til they got on an open top bus lol...Lorraine's voice is amazing and she is really beautiful - thanks for reading and reviewing :)
