a few candles, I did light

made the kids some healthy cakes

oats, choc chips, no great shakes

They've yet to taste this treat so nice

won't have to ask them twice

Cutting about in my jammies is fun

cut about with your huni bun

play your favourite tunes aloud

 why not invite a crowd

all cutting about in jammies together

 invite my neighbours, Brian & Heather

Go to the shops in jammies, slippers

folks too with their nippers

nae shame in that, why not chill

go in your nighty, give them a thrill

sleepwear is the new dress code

 cutting in jammies, down the road

haha well I only wear mine in the house to be honest and I do a double take when I see folk out and about in theirs - it's weird! When I was a student I worked part time in Asda and the amount of people who came in at night and done their shopping in their jammies was shocking! Some states I tell u, no glam jams for that mob lol

Big fan of this. I like the upbeat rhythm you create to your amusing piece. Couple of parts in your second stanza where the rhythm falls slightly and it becomes tiny bit clunky. But other than that a fantastic piece Well played!

...when underwear became outer-wear then over-wear, it was only a matter of time before sleep-wear became street-wear. I'm secretly praying that birthday suits are the next 'big thing'...lol

haha well nothing would surprise me Tony, some of the sights you see, anything goes... once I went to out local pub all dressed up to the nines, wished I'd gone in my jammies it was deid and the few folk there hadn't exactly made an effort lol - thanks for reading and reviewing, much appreciated :)

sounds like the pub at the top of my street too.
Pyjama parade is at 9 a.m. here - nursery school and primary school (haha next door to the pub wouldn't you know !! lol)
