Sunday Night..

so painful

Sunday Night

I've got the Sunday night blues

Wish I was going on a cruise

In the morning, no such joy

Instead I'll be waking my girl and boy

for school, which is no easy task

then off to work with my coffee flask

Oh weekend you went so fast

Saturday we had a blast

and today was quite nice too

Mothering Sunday, a camera new

Took pics of my treasured Kinghorn

but now I'm feeling quite forlorn

Need to change the way I feel

It's only Monday, no big deal

Just get on with it and smile

holidays coming in a while

off to Dublin, cannot wait

Hi KT. This used to be me, then I was able to retire! I enjoyed this because it has the feel of an impromptu 'Rats! It's almost time for work again and I'm blowed if it's going to get me down - I know - I'll write a rhyming blues!' My guess is you find a lot to smile about in work - a lot of my inspiration came about that way. BTW what's a Kinghorn?

Thank you for your review made me laugh, Kinghorns a wee seaside town in Fife, just before Kirkcaldy - I used to go there for holidays as a kid but now just go for a reminisce (see my poem Kinghorn) - you got me summed up really well in your review, much appreciated :)
