just words

"Nonsense"

If I write words that jar

please forgive me from afar

I might be writing to distract

my anxious mind, keep it intact

the words might tumble, not make sense

may be light, may be intense

subjects might seem a bit obscure

got to keep on being a doer

no mind space, not for a second

keep busy, the advisor reckoned

My day is planned, full to the brim

no mind space to feel tense or grim

packed full of activity, that requires thought

so art work I went out and bought

when i'm done with poems I will paint

I'll draw and draw, til I feel faint

Not the best but utube will teach me

an artists hand will surely reach me

and show me how to proportion a face

make things out of beads and lace

so forgive me if my silly words jar

and correct punctuation seems so far

but you see I'm just writing to distract my mind

new hobbies and outlets, I need to find

until then I'll continue to do what I know

and to the Writers Café I'll go

spend a few hours, writing and reading

tricking my mind, truly misleading

but only for it's own sake

Later I might bake a cake

it's awful, first thing I did was contact my nephew, wife and child to make sure they weren't anywhere near, it's a very unsafe world no matter where you are now - very sad :(

What's scary I was on the bridge a few years ago. Now, I'm considering canceling our anniversary cruise to Scandinavia after hearing about the Utah couple on holiday.

aw that's a shame it's a frightening world nowadays - we should never have been involved in Iraq war bush and blair got a lot to answer for - that's why I want an independent Scotland, we're linked to politicians who are doing whatever despite what the people want, I feel sorry for southerners stuck with it!

haha my dad had an old pal Jack and when the two of them had a drink they always discussed politics, it would always end in a massive fight much to my mum and jack's wife's embarrassment... lol

I don't drink alcohol so I will always win the debates, lol. I'm trying to taper my political discussions these days because in this generation nobody researches facts. They merely rely on emotion and talking points they heard in media outlets and mostly start crying, name calling and look foolish. Basically, in this generation truth has no bearings. See, I told you, it's my favorite subject.

I always wished I had become a painter. A lot of creative people paint, play music or do poetry. Another outlet is good for the soul.
