hectic mornings

Mornings are mine...I wish

Sitting in the tranquil

coffee, toast, enjoying the still

reading work by friends in the caff

some sad, some a laugh

add one or two myself

good for my mental health

but all too soon it's time to wake

the bairns, "get up for goodness sake"

an hour of hectic running about

throat sore from having to shout

whew they finally left for school

leaving me almost out of fuel

darn they left the lunch money lying

gee these kids ain't half trying

so my peaceful morning started

but within an hour the peace departed

'.. work by friends in the caff ~ some sad, some a laugh ~ add one or two myself ~ good for my mental health ~ but .. .. ' Love the truth of this, reality at its worst and best.. a musical meter, is humorous, laid out to be seen, heard and enjoyed. And, I did enjoy it.
