Writers Block

So I've not been in the café for a while

Reading other's work, has made me smile

I think I should write a poem or two

But my brain is dead, ideas are few

Come on Kate, surely you have something to write

I try and I try but no ideas take flight

Tomorrow morning, I'll go for a walk

and see if I can try to unblock

The creativity I've tried so hard to find

Try as I might, nothing comes into my mind

I've wrote about family, Mum and my Dad

I've wrote about funny, I've wrote about sad

Hoping this block won't last forever

I used to think I was so clever

but now I feel as stupid as hell

I used to write poems so well

Ah well happens to the best

So meantime I'll just have a wee rest

So keep your work coming, you talented lot

I'll enjoy your writing, whilst I'm in this spot

When there's nothing to do and nowt on TV

I know exactly where I want to be

In the writer's café, where else would I go

Reading new writer's stuff and some that I know

It's seems even when we mad poets get the block such as yourself we still have to feed or desired disease to write. I nice ode to the insanity of writer's block. As a matter of fact you've inspired me to write a poem about this subject. Check it out.

This is interesting. I haven't read such a detailed poem on writers' block so far on this site. You brought this out well. Lately, I have been struggling with ideas too so I can relate a bit.
This was very well penned. I enjoyed reading this. And I agree, WC is a good place for inspirations 😊
