Everytime you say goodbye

You arrived on Thursday, excitement was high

Picked you up from the station, I wanted to cry

so happy to see you, it's been quite a while

we chatted away as I drove down the mile

Back home you got settled and we laughed over gin

We got quite raucous and caused quite a din

On Friday you went to Glasgow for the day

and at night saw a show that was quite a display

Irish meets country was the theme of the show

Sang along to all the ones that we know

On Saturday we shopped til we dropped

and bought some prosecco with ice cubes plopped

Sunday already out for some lunch

a hearty walk and a hearty munch

a few more gins since it's your last night

on Monday morning I look a right sight

Off you went to catch your train

and left me in the pouring rain

house is empty, I feel without cause

Had such a blast with my precious in-laws
