A Poem by KT-B

Not everything's good as it looks...

This cake looks pretty dam awesome made with lots of love

for my boy Sean's birthday, there's no-one quite above

and no-one who loves cake more

this boy does sure adore

a chocolate cake or two

that's why I decided to

make him this treat for his special day

but it turned out hard as clay

I melted a chocolate orange and poured it on the top

unfortunately it turned out to be a flop

the chocolate went so bloody hard

I needed a hedge cutter to even get a shard

my sister she did persevere

and said that It was worth a cheer

she said she loved it, tasted great

and never left any on her plate

sean said the same and scoffed the lot

chocolates chocolate I suppose I forgot

but not everything's as good as it looks

just ask even the best of cooks

*************

'Not everything's good as it looks'
KT-B,
This was so fun! I could just see the cook processing her thoughts as she added flour, butter. oh and the chocolate! Yummy. I think the your line referring to chocolate orange was fitting and descriptive. By the time I had read the whole thing I realized that yes this cake was made with love and for those you love. Love makes anything taste even better.
Blessings this year to you!
Kathy
